Auditions

Information

The Oquirrh Mountain Symphony is recruiting new members for the 2010-2011 concert season. The upcoming season is entitled “I Heard It At the Movies” and covers the spectrum from movie soundtracks to Cartoon Classics (how we learned to love classical music).

Open auditions will be held the first week in August.

To schedule an audition time please email us with your name, contact information, and instrument and a personnel representative will contact you.

Audition Requirements:

• Three major scales, minimum two octaves, of the performer’s choice
• Two solo excerpts (< 1 minute each), in contrasting styles, of the performer’s choice
• Basic sight-reading (provided to the performer at the audition)

Rehearsal Schedule:

The OMS rehearses Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Membership Agreement:

All new members of the OMS will be asked to read and accept a Membership Agreement.
